Be drunk on Love, for only The Lover is a monarch: It's Love and the lover that live eternally;
Love exists; there's
No meeting the Beloved without
Love as herald.
They ask, "What's Love?"
Reply, 'Renouncing the will.'
He who hasn't tossed will aside
doesn't know God.
two worlds lie at his feet;
The King pays no attention
to what lies under his.
Set your heart on this only:
the rest is borrowed.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds:
The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful:
Owner of the Day of Judgement.
Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) was ask for help.
Show us the straight path:
The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

Love is based on two main foundations that hold it up firm and give it strength. Without these pillars, love is reduced to superficiality, to a delight that melts at the begining of tasting, to something that one would never attain satisfaction from despite excessive attainment of it, for they would have failed to grasp it, just like how the admirer of a rose rips its stalk out to devour its beauty, to savour its pleasureable sight smell and touch, minutes before it withers away lifelessly.
Ikhlas (sincerity) is the nourishment of love from which it roots from and it blossoms. Ikhlas serves to affirm the hearts connection to what it loves. Without ikhlas, the heart would never know, feel and understand. One minute it could be in ecstacy of what it admires and the next minute completely oblivious. A heart without ikhlas is a heart of confusion. Ikhlas is something that doesn't sprout suddenly. It has to be nourished and developed. Once the heart knows ikhlas, the heart knows love.
Tawwakal (trust and reliance) is the backbone of love. There can be no love if there is no trust. One who truly loves is one who sacrifices his ego to trusting his love and there can be no greater sacrifice than to sacrifice to the Source of All Trust, The Disposer of all Affairs. The Source chooses whom we are meant to love. Loving Him ultimately with complete reliance and trust is what affirms and stabilises our love with whom He choses us to love.

"Come, come whoever you are
An unbeliever, a fire-worshipper, come
ours is not a school of despair
Even if you have broken your vows a hundred times
Come, come again."

Bismillahi 'r-rahmani 'r-raheem
What shall I do, O Muslims?
I do not recognize myself.
I am neither Christian nor Jew,
nor Magian, nor Muslim.
I am not of the East, nor the West,
not of the land, nor the sea.
I am not from nature's mine,
nor from the circling stars.
I am neither of earth nor water,
neither of wind nor fire.
I am not of the empyrean,
nor of the dust on this carpet.
I am not of the deep, nor from behind.
I am not of
not of
I am not of the
nor of the
I am not of this world nor the next,
not of heaven, nor of purgatory.
My place is the placeless,
my trace is the traceless.
It is not the body nor is it the soul,
for I belong to the soul of my love.
I have put duality away
and seen the two worlds as one.
One I seek, One I know.
One I see, One I call.
He is the First, He is the Last.
He is the outward, He is the Inward.
I know of nothing but Hu, none but him.
Intoxicated with the cup of love,
two worlds slip from my hands.
I am occupied with nothing
but fun and carousing.
If once in my life I pass a moment without You,
I repent my life from that moment on.
If once in this world
I should win a moment with You,
I will put both worlds under my feet
and dance forever in joy.
O Shams of Tabriz, I am so drunk in the world
that except for revelry and intoxication
I have no tale to tell.

Our (teacher ) is teaching us how we must be in this life. We live in such circumstances; nothing is going as we like. …. Every day are coming so many things that we never like, but we must pass through them to our destinations.
As a ship struggling against gigantic waves in the ocean, or a sea captain who keeps a brave firm hand on the rudder, so we must be going on, not turning aside. Everything coming against our desires is only coming by our Lord’s will. All events may happen as He likes. If knowing this, we may attain taslima, surrender and peace.
When we leave off fighting, them His will may lead us easily to our destination. Therefore the best good manner is to surrender. A man struggling in the sea sinks down and drowns, and then floats easily to the surface…..
Sometimes I am saying, “Alhamdullilah, my will is not happening. His Will is best

"There is one thing in this world which you must never forget to do. If you forget everything else and not this, you've nothing to worry about. But if you remember everything else and forget this, then you will have done nothing in your life.
It's as if a King had sent you to some country to do a task and you perform a hundred other deeds but not the one he asked you to do. So human beings come to this world to do particular work. That work is the purpose and each is specific to the person.
If you don't do it, it's as if a priceless Indian sword were used to slice rotten meat. It's a golden bowl, being used to cook turnip when one filing from that bowl could buy a hundred suitable pots.
It's like a knife of the finest tempering nailed onto the wall to hang things on. You say, `But look, I'm using the dagger, it's not lying idle!' Do you hear how ludicrous that sounds? For a penny, an iron nail could be bought to serve for that. `But I spend my energies on lofty enterprises, I study jurisprudence, and philosophy and logic and astronomy and medicine and all the rest...' But consider why you do these things. They are all branches of your Self. The deep root of your being. The Presence of your Lord.
Give your life to the One who already owns your breath and your moments! If you don't, you will be exactly like the man who takes a precious dagger and hammers it into the kitchen wall for a peg to hold his dipper gourd. You'll be wasting valuable keenness and foolishly ignoring your dignity and your purpose. Give your life to the One who already owns your breath and your moments!"
